Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science from an accredited institution is required.
• Meet qualifications to function as a Technical Supervisor under CLIA regulations for Hematology and Chemistry departments.
• Four (4) years of experience in Chemistry, Hematology, and Transfusion Services as a CLS in a high complexity lab is required.
• Licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist by the State of California is required.
• Board Certification from CA acceptable body (e.g., ASCP) is preferred.
• Supervisory/leadership experience with process improvement is required.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills are required.
• Attention to detail, business acumen, and multi-tasking ability are required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise activities of Clinical Laboratory Scientists, Medical Laboratory Technicians, and laboratory assistants in the core lab.
• Provide technical oversight and data review.
• Manage personnel and department development within all regulatory guidelines.
