Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking an experienced Test Engineer to own HITL bench architecture and lead test strategy for payloads and autonomy systems. You will build and operate HITL environments, create simulators, and drive regression testing across hardware and software, collaborating with systems engineering to ensure traceability and robust validation.

The role requires 7+ years in test engineering, strong Python and C++/Rust skills, and the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or CS or equivalent.
• 7+ years in test engineering, integration and test, or test infrastructure development.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
• Strong software skills: Python and C++ or Rust for test automation and simulators.

Responsibilities

• Own HITL bench architecture, build-out, and operation for payload and autonomy testing.
• Define test strategy spanning unit, SITL, HITL, and at-sea validation.
• Build hardware and software simulators for payloads, sensors, and vehicle subsystems.
• Develop automated regression suites that run against real hardware.
• Own test instrumentation, data capture, and results analysis tooling.
• Lead test execution for payload integration campaigns and support at-sea events.
• Drive defect triage and root cause analysis from test findings back into engineering.
• Set test coverage standards and define what must pass before hardware goes to sea.
• Travel up to 30% to test sites and at-sea events.
