Qualifications

• Associate or higher degree in histology with clinical experience preferred.

• Proficiency with standard histology equipment and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Process and embed tissue in paraffin; section blocks with microtomes.
• Prepare stains and solutions; perform routine and special stains; evaluate slides.
• Maintain equipment and supply inventory; uphold clean, compliant work area.
• Support inter-shift coverage for time off, emergencies, holidays.
• Prepare slides/blocks with correct patient identification per lab practices.
