A leading healthcare provider in Medford seeks a Certified Histotechnologist or Histotechnician to join their expanding Histology department. The role involves preparing tissue specimens for diagnosis, requiring strong organizational skills and teamwork. The new lab will enhance capabilities significantly.

Additional Position Details: FTE: 1.000000 | Full Time | Primarily Mon - Fri / 8AM - 5PM
Please Note: Willing to accept a Certified Histotechnician or a Certified Histotechnologist. Salary is based on years of relevant experience. Plus, you may earn extra shift differentials for swing, night, and weekend hours.
Our Histology department processes a wide variety of specimens. In addition to routine histology we perform IHC and special stains. We recently brought on two Leica Bond automated IHC platforms. Other exciting changes on the horizon will be a new Pathology lab which will be a 67% increase in our current size, projecting to be in this new space by the start of 2023.
The Histotechnician should possess sound organizational skills that support accuracy & attention to detail under stressful, high-paced work conditions. Also, they should encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers & other departments and display collaborative effort to maximize efficiency in daily workflow. As a Histotechnician you will have the opportunity to perform all procedures required to prepare tissue specimens for histological diagnosis by the Pathologist.
