Job summary

Roche in Tucson seeks a Histotechnician Specialist to perform high-complexity histology, including embedding, microtomy, staining and coverslipping. You will run automated IHC workflows, verify reagents, and maintain regulatory documentation in a fast-paced setting.

The ideal candidate has an Associate's degree with HT (ASCP) or a BA with HT/HTL certification and 2–4+ years histology experience, plus Lean/CI awareness and strong teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or 60 credit hours in laboratory science/medical technology/histology with HT (ASCP) certification or equivalent, plus years of histology experience.
• Bachelor's Degree with HT/HTL (ASCP) certification and histology experience is acceptable.
• Solid knowledge of IHC, routine histology, quality control documentation and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-complexity histology tasks including embedding, microtomy, coverslipping, processing and staining.
• Execute antibody titers, dilutions, and reagent lot verification on automated platforms.
• Maintain calibration and compliance with OSHA/FDA/ISO/GMP; document non-conformances and corrective actions.
• Support 6S activities, lean improvement and cross-functional collaboration; train new staff.
• Maintain attendance and operate in a regulated, fast-paced clinical environment.
