Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree (60 credits) in lab science/medical technology/histology + HT (ASCP) + 4 years histology experience
• Bachelor's Degree + HT/HTL (ASCP) + 2 years histology experience or equivalent
• Solid knowledge of IHC, routine histology, troubleshooting, and QC documentation
• Strong tissue sectioning skills and experience with automated staining platforms
• Experience in regulated FDA/OSHA environments and GMP/QA compliance
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and general office tools
• Ability to meet physically demanding tasks (standing, lifting 25 lbs) and maintain accuracy

Responsibilities

• Perform high-complexity histology tasks including embedding, microtomy, coverslipping, processing, H&E staining, cryotomy, and grossing biopsy samples
• Execute special and advanced staining on automated platforms with titers and dilutions
• Maintain equipment calibration and compliance with OSHA, FDA, ISO, GMP standards
• Document receipt, quarantine, storage, and distribution of clinical materials; assist with non-conformances
• Drive 6S and Lean improvements to optimize workflow and cycle times
• Collaborate across teams; train new employees; maintain reliable attendance
