Job summary

Roche is seeking a Histology Team Lead to drive operational excellence across local and remote laboratory sites. You will mentor associate histotechnicians and histotechnologists, standardize procedures, and guide decision-making with the Biorepository team to ensure high-quality diagnostic outputs.

You’ll lead a cross-functional team in a fast-paced clinical diagnostics environment, promoting a culture of safety, continuous learning, and accountability while maintaining rigorous quality

Qualifications

• Associate degree with HT (ASCP) or higher and years of histology experience
• Leadership and people development experience in a multi-site setting
• Strong histology technical skills across microtomy, processing, IHC/ISH
• Experience in clinical diagnostics or diagnostics industry
• Familiarity with lean laboratory principles and quality standards

Responsibilities

• Lead histology team across local and remote sites to deliver high-quality results
• Standardize and optimize daily operating procedures for histology workflows
• Collaborate with Biorepository team to ensure biospecimen management
• Drive throughput, turnaround time, and output quality
• Foster a psychologically safe, inclusive lab culture and mentorship
