New England Dermatology & Laser Center in Springfield, MA is seeking an experienced Histotech (ASCP HT/HTL) to join a busy dermatology and Mohs pathology practice. The role covers grossing, embedding, sectioning, staining, antibody titers, and slide preparation with strong emphasis on accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications include an ASCP HT/HTL certification, an Associate's degree in biology or related field (Bachelor's preferred), and 1–3 years of histology experience.

Qualifications

• ASCP HT or HTL certification required.
• Associates degree in biology or related field required.
• 1–3 years histology experience in paraffin and frozen sections.
• Ability to operate a microtome and cryostat.
• Experience with lab safety, HIPAA, and quality control.
• In-person, accurate, detail-oriented, and team-driven.

Responsibilities

• Perform grossing, embedding (paraffin or Mohs), cutting, slide preparation, staining and antibody titer preparation, cover slipping.
• Maintain equipment, supplies and inventory; record retention.
• Responsible for quality control and adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Ensure efficient workflow and accurate data entry in EHR systems.
• Collaborate with Surgical Center Manager and clinical staff as needed.
