Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a Facilities Operations Supervisor to oversee and actively participate in maintenance of Old Economy Village. The role combines hands-on facility work with supervision and project planning to keep the historic site safe, functional, and ready for visitors.

Responsibilities include site maintenance, project planning with staff and contractors, leading the maintenance team, enforcing safety rules, and providing event support for programs and events.

Qualifications

• Two years of skilled trades work in commercial, industrial, multi-unit facilities, or utility plant operations.
• Experience with carpentry, electrical maintenance, and plumbing maintenance tasks.
• Ability to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

• Site Maintenance: oversee upkeep of structures, grounds, and physical systems at the historic site.
• Project Planning: plan and coordinate maintenance projects with staff and contractors.
• Staff Leadership: supervise and train the maintenance team.
• Safety Oversight: enforce safety rules and manage fire and security systems.
• Event Support: assist in preparing and implementing the annual calendar of special programs and events.
