The Pennsylvania Historical & Museum Commission is seeking an energetic and experienced individual to oversee and actively participate in the maintenance of buildings, physical systems, grounds, exhibits, equipment and in other support work for overall site operations at Old Economy Village. Through the maintenance and repair of this multifaceted and historically rich site, you will play a key role in preserving its beauty and historical significance for the enjoyment of current and future generations.
Old Economy Village, located in Ambridge, PA, is the historic home of the Harmony Society, one of the oldest and most successful religious communal groups of the 19th century. This six-acre National Historic Landmark welcomes thousands of visitors annually and features sixteen historically significant buildings, an acre of historic gardens, the Harmonist cemetery and a modern Visitor Center.
This position oversees daily maintenance and operations at Old Economy Village to ensure the site remains safe, functional, and ready for visitors. The role combines hands-on facility work with supervision and project planning responsibilities. As a Facility Operations Supervisor, you will perform the following duties:
