Job summary

The City of Waco Seeks a team member to provide customer assistance, tours, and cashiering services at the Waco Mammoth National Monument (WMNM) historic site. Responsibilities include guiding tours, handling fee collection, merchandising, and assisting with programming and exhibits.

Under supervision, you will support site managers, engage the public, plan special events, and participate in outreach activities while ensuring compliance with city policies.

Qualifications

• Must have Valid Texas Driver's License.
• 1 year of customer service experience or equivalent.
• Associate's degree in history, Archeology, Paleontology, Business, Public Administration, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist site managers with operations of historic site.
• Provide courteous service to the public with tours and information, fee collection and merchandise sales.
• Lead tours of the WMNM and assist with event planning, marketing, and exhibits.
• Maintain fund accounts and records; assist with purchasing, merchandising, events and programs.
• Train and mentor part-time historic site assistants.
• Operate City vehicle to access sites and transport people, equipment, and materials.
