Job summary

Caris Life Sciences is seeking a Histology Technologist I to assist pathology professionals with IHC, embedding, sectioning, and slide preparation. The role follows SOPs and requires accuracy in labeling, documentation in LIS, and quality control of stained slides.

The candidate will work under supervision, handle routine histology tasks, and support equipment maintenance while continuously improving processes in a fast-paced lab environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in an IHC/histology lab or 2 years as Histology Technician Trainee
• Bachelor's degree in chemical, biological, clinical or medical lab science OR Associate degree OR 60 semester hours with required courses
• HT/HTL (ASCP) certification eligible preferred
• Clinical lab training program approved by ABHES/CAAHEP acceptable

Responsibilities

• Embed, cut, H&E staining, and cover slipping of slides
• Perform high-complexity testing including IHC staining with QC
• Maintain case labeling accuracy and LIS documentation
• Maintain lab equipment and coordinate maintenance as needed
• Follow SOPs and demonstrate teamwork and initiative
