Job summary

Labcorp seeks a Histology Technician to support processing of tissue and body fluids for microscopic examination. You will embed, section, stain, and prepare slides, performing IHC tests and maintaining instruments.

The role requires a degree in Histology or related science and may include ASCP certification. Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to work with high-volume workloads are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Histology or a chemical/biological science with 1+ year clinical lab experience or Histology cert program (min 9 months)
• Histology and/or ASCP certifications preferred
• Experience embedding tissue and immunohistochemistry a plus

Responsibilities

• Process human tissue and body fluid specimens for microscopic exam
• Prepare stains and reagents for special procedures
• Section embedded tissue and mount on slides for review
• Perform immunohistochemical tests on tissue sections
• Operate and maintain manual and automated instruments
• Record equipment data and perform QC and preventive maintenance
• Follow lab procedures for specimen handling, processing, reporting
