Job summary

Natera is seeking a Histology Lab Operator I in San Francisco to support the Histology Department by assisting HT/HTLs in specimen analysis and by maintaining laboratory equipment in good condition. The role involves preparing tissues, stained slides, and enabling workflow through set-up and daily tasks, with emphasis on accuracy and GDP compliance.

Qualifications include 0–2 years of experience and an appropriate degree in histology or related sciences, plus potential bachelor-level coursework.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience
• Associate's degree in histotechnician or related science with histology experience
• Nine months histotechnician training or bachelor's in chemical/biological sciences with histology experience
• US-degree or equivalent required at hire

Responsibilities

• Assist certified personnel in clinical patient testing per SOP
• Prepare tissue samples and stained slides with high accuracy
• Macrodissection and support workflow tasks
• Set up equipment and assist automated lab procedures
• Complete daily tasks
• Maintain equipment in good condition
• Maintain inventory of materials and equipment in the lab
• Document information following GDP
• Perform other duties as assigned
