Job summary

Natera in Austin, Texas is seeking a Histology Lab Operator II to support the Histopathy Department by assisting licensed personnel in clinical testing and preparing tissue slides for whole exome sequencing workflows.

You will set up and maintain lab equipment, manage inventory, and document results per GDP, while training new team members. A minimum of 2 years histology experience and related degrees are required. The role offers growth in a leading cfDNA testing company.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of related histology experience.
• Degree requirements as specified in the posting; degree must be US-equivalent at hire.
• Copies of degrees must be provided at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist certified personnel in clinical testing per SOP.
• Prepare histological tissues and stained slides with high accuracy.
• Set up equipment and support automated lab procedures.
• Maintain inventory and ensure supplies are stocked.
• Document information per GDP and train new team members.
• Identify and escalate unresolved cases.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
