Job summary

The successful candidate will interpret HLA testing, advise transplant teams, and participate in conferences, with opportunities for leadership, program development, education, and scholarly activity; teaching pathology residents, fellows, medical students, and trainees.

Qualifications

• ASHI-certified or ASHI board-eligible as Histocompatibility Laboratory Director, and eligible to serve in a director-level role under CLIA, CAP, and ASHI requirements.
• PhD, MD, or MD/PhD degree required.
• Academic leadership and teaching experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and report HLA and transplant immunology testing results.
• Provide clinical consultation to transplant teams.
• Participate in multidisciplinary patient review conferences.
• Provide medical and scientific oversight of histocompatibility testing.
