The Department of Pathology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School, seeks a full-time academic Staff Pathologist to serve as HLA Director of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics Laboratory. The role supports a surgeon-level program in solid organ and hematopoietic transplantation and translational research.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent from an accredited medical school.
• Board-certified in Anatomic/Clinical Pathology or Clinical Pathology.
• Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics fellowship or equivalent training.
• Active medical license in MA or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a state-of-the-art histocompatibility and immunogenetics lab supporting transplantation, transfusion, and disease testing.
• Share clinical and administrative service responsibilities.
• Mentor residents, fellows, and faculty in pathology training programs.
