Avow in Naples, FL is seeking a Coordinator II in Health Information Management to maintain accurate, timely medical records while protecting patient privacy.

You will audit records upon admission, process documents into the EHR, manage physician data and licenses, and support audits. The role requires RHIA/RHIT credentials, ICD-10 knowledge, and strong English and medical terminology skills.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Health Information Management, Health Administration, or related field.
• RHIA or RHIT certification required.
• Strong medical terminology comprehension.

Responsibilities

• Audits health information records for completion upon admission.
• Maintains and updates the physician database and licenses.
• Processes incoming mail and scans records into the EHR.
• Ensures PHI privacy and HIPAA compliance.
• Assists with audits and reporting to Privacy Official.
• Processes requests from law firms and government agencies.
• Performs administrative tasks like running reports and filing.
