VRC Companies, LLC is seeking an ROI Specialist I to process requests for medical records in the VitalChart department. You will ensure privacy, accuracy, and timely service while complying with HIPAA and facility policies in a fast-paced environment in Birmingham, Alabama.

The role requires attention to detail, strong documentation, and collaboration with ROI leaders to maintain service expectations for healthcare clients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (GED) required; degree preferred.
• Prior ROI fulfillment experience preferred.
• Demonstrated attention to detail.
• Prioritize, organize, and meet deadlines.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Basic HIPAA and privacy regulations knowledge.
• Experience with EHR/EMR platforms preferred.
• Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office.
• Interpersonal skills with teams, clients, and requestors.
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, focused for extended periods.
• Reading/writing/speaking English; bilingual desirable.

Responsabilités

• Process ROI requests accurately and in a timely manner.
• Validate patient authorizations for HIPAA compliance.
• Log and track requests in ROI software.
• Retrieve and upload chart data from repositories.
• Perform quality control to protect PHI integrity.
• Handle invoicing and client billing materials.
• Respond to inquiries respectfully and informatively.
• Maintain confidential records and secure storage.
• Escalate security or connectivity issues to supervisor.
