Zusammenfassung

Southwest Healthcare is seeking a System Manager of Health Information Management to lead the HIM/Medical Records team across the region. You will ensure records are processed in accordance with Medical Staff Bylaws, rules and regulations, and Federal and State statutes.

In the absence of the System Director, you may assume interim responsibilities. You will manage release of information standards, discharge documentation timelines, and quality thresholds, driving compliance and performance

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management required.
• Master's degree in Health Information Management preferred.
• RHIA or RHIT certification required/preferred depending on role.

Aufgaben

• Oversee HIM/Medical Records daily operations and staff across the region.
• Ensure medical records are processed per by-laws, rules, regulations, and state/federal statutes.
• Maintain release of information standards for requestors per guidelines.
• Monitor timelines for record completion post-discharge and address delinquencies.
• Prepare and present incomplete medical records lists for committee review.
• Maintain EMR documentation prep, scanning, and quality control within 48 hours of discharge.
• Ensure quality and productivity standards exceed 95% across processes.
