Job summary

Southwest Healthcare in Southern California seeks a System Manager - HIM-Medical Records to lead regional health information management, training, quality, and record oversight. You will collaborate with staff across facilities to ensure accurate charting, compliance, and timely DRG coding support.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Health Information Management, RHIA/RHIT certification, 5–7 years of HIM experience with 3+ years in leadership, and a CA driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management required.
• Master's degree in Health Information Management preferred.
• Five to seven years of HIM experience with emphasis on training, quality and record management.

Responsibilities

• Participates in Emergency Preparedness drills and understands role in emergencies.
• Facilitates departmental education activities and inservices with Education Department.
• Develops, reviews and revises departmental policies and procedures.
• Ensures department has equipment and supplies to provide quality service.
• Reports unsafe situations and addresses safety by labeling/removing malfunctioning equipment.
