Job summary

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of medical record and computerized patient information systems.
• Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office Suite.
• Understanding of laws and standards governing medical records and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assists in managing and administering the overall operations of the Department of Health Information Management.
• Supervises staff to ensure completeness, accuracy, and confidentiality of medical records.
• Develops and maintains systems for chart flow, storage, and retrieval to meet deadlines.
• Generates reports from the computerized clinical information system for physicians and staff.
• Coordinates with other divisions to optimize service delivery across the Medical Center.
