Job summary

Winslow Indian Health Care Center, Inc. is seeking a Health Information Management Clerk to support the HIM Director by coordinating patient services, scanning documents into the EHR, and handling chart records with confidentiality.

You will perform receptionist duties, assist with release of information requests, and help maintain accurate records across departments. Flexible with shifts, including evenings or weekends as needed, and you must pass a background check.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; RHIT preferred.
• One year of healthcare experience or six months of organizing and maintaining medical records required.
• Bilingual English and Navajo language preferred.
• Must maintain a valid unrestricted and insurable driver’s license.
• Background investigation required; position subject to ICPFVP Act requirements.

Responsibilities

• Scan/import documents into the EHR in a timely manner.
• Audit scanned documents as assigned by HIM supervisor.
• Distribute patient documents to clinics and departments.
• Reactivate patient charts and resolve duplicates.
• Assist with release of medical information and log requests in RPMS.
