Job summary

Regions Hospital is seeking a Supervisor, Health Information Management to lead and supervise HIM teams across the organization. The role serves as a resource for medical records management, ensuring accessibility and integrity of patient information for the continuum of care.

You will oversee daily HIM operations, manage staffing and performance, collaborate with IT and compliance, and drive standardization and quality improvement while upholding the HealthPartners/Regions Hospital values.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management or enrollment in such a program.
• 3–5 years of experience with paper EMRs and issues resolution in HIM.
• Strong organizational and people skills; some leadership experience.
• Ability to interpret and apply regulatory principles.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and HIM software; excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily HIM operations across multiple units and sites.
• Provide staff supervision, scheduling, coaching, and performance management.
• Collaborate with IT, compliance, and legal to protect patient information.
• Lead process improvement, standardization, and workflow optimization.
• Manage HIM budget development and monitoring; support cost controls.
