Job summary

HonorHealth is seeking a Health Information Management Coordinator to lead HIM staff during shifts, coordinate release of information, chart analysis and data integrity. Initial on-site training will occur in Arizona, with remote work possible after training and occasional on-site as needed.

Candidates must reside in Arizona and meet education and RHIT-preference expectations. The role emphasizes leadership, training, quality assurance and strong communication as you support birth registration,

Qualifications

• 1 year lead, coordinating, or supervisory experience.
• 2 years in release of information, correspondence, or records analysis.
• 2 years lead, coordinating, or supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of state and federal laws related to health information encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates patient record processing activities within the HIM Department.
• Establishes work priorities and resolves daily operational problems.
• Assists HIM Supervisor to ensure coverage in all HIM areas.
• Trains HIM staff and monitors quality and productivity.
• Provides timely feedback and retraining as necessary.
• Monitors work queues and ensures proper coverage of HIM staff work.
• Supports day-to-day activities and adapts to changes in protocols.
• Assists leadership with performance, conduct, and work habits issues.
• Participates in department activities and safety initiatives.
