Job summary

HonorHealth is seeking an HIM Coordinator to lead and coordinate the Health Information Management team. Initial training will be on-site daily (location to be determined) with remote work possible once trained and on-site support required occasionally.

Responsibilities include coordinating patient record processing, release of information, and ensuring data integrity. Strong communication, customer service, and leadership skills are essential for success in this role at HonorHealth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree preferred.
• 2 years in release of information, records processing or related areas.
• 1 year lead, coordinating, or supervisory experience required.
• Experience in high quality customer service and clear verbal/written communication.
• Knowledge of state/federal laws related to birth registration and PHI confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate HIM staff shift coverage and daily operations.
• Train HIM staff and monitor quality and productivity.
• Manage work queues and assign appropriate tasks for coverage.
• Support HIM leadership on performance, conduct and work habits.
• Participate in safety initiatives and risk mitigation measures.
