Job summary

Covenant HealthCare seeks an HIM Coordinator to oversee daily HIM operations, coordinate activities, and support staff with training and QA initiatives. The role requires strong leadership, HIPAA compliance, and proficiency with Epic/EMR systems.

The ideal candidate will have RHIT/RHIA credentials, an associate degree in health information or computer science, and typing speed of 40 wpm. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, with a focus on healthcare information management.

Qualifications

• RHIT or RHIA credential required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily HIM operations and coordinate activities.
• Ensure staff training and QA programs are in place.
• Collaborate with management on staffing and budget.
• Maintain compliance with HFAP and HIPAA.
• Support Epic/EMR and related software systems.
