Job summary

Jobot is seeking a dynamic HIM Director to oversee the Health Information Management department at a Critical Access Hospital in Globe, AZ. This hands-on leadership role requires oversight of medical records, coding, and data integrity, with direct collaboration with hospital leadership.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s in Health Information Management (Master’s preferred), RHIA/RHIT or equivalent, and at least 5 years in HIM leadership within rural settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management or related field.
• RHIA/RHIT or equivalent credentials required or preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in a HIM leadership role, preferably in rural or Critical Access Hospital environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the Health Information Management department, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to improve HIM efficiency and effectiveness.
• Oversee medical records, coding, clinical documentation, and revenue cycle processes.
• Ensure data integrity, confidentiality, and security of health information.
• Collaborate with department heads and senior management for smooth operations.
• Monitor HIM performance and implement improvements as needed.
• Stay updated on HIM developments to drive continuous improvement.
