Job summary

Savista is seeking a Lead HIM Technician to support the Health Information Management department in a remote USA role. You will lead daily operations, oversee chart retrieval and filing, and mentor teammates while upholding privacy and HIPAA standards.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in or pursuing an RHIT program, with strong HIM knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to train staff. Weekend hours and continuing education support are available to grow your HIM career.

Qualifications

• Experience in Health Information Management or medical records.
• Currently enrolled or interested in RHIT program.
• Strong understanding of HIM workflows such as chart retrieval and filing.
• Ability to prioritize, maintain accuracy, and protect confidentiality.
• Strong communication and ability to train team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily HIM operations including chart requests and filing.
• Monitor workloads and adjust assignments to meet deadlines.
• Support training and cross-training of HIM staff.
• Conduct weekly quality and productivity audits.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient information.
