The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is seeking a Highway Technician Assistant I to help maintain state roadways in Larue County. The role offers hands-on training in road and construction maintenance and requires lifting up to 50 pounds and working in all weather conditions.

Applicants must be 18 or older, possess a valid driver's license, and complete required certifications within a year. This full-time position includes benefits and overtime eligibility.

Qualificações

• Education: High school diploma required.
• Experience: None required; opportunities for skill development.
• Must be 18+ and possess a valid driver's license.
• Within 12 months, provide documentation for a Class B CDL; must complete First Aid & Snow/Ice Training; Traffic Control/Flagger and OSHA 10 Certifications.

Responsabilidades

• Transport materials to and from job sites.
• Operate dump trucks with snowplow and salt spreader in winter.
• Operate mowing equipment; assist in brush cutting; use chemical sprayers.
• Assist with basic surveying on construction projects; learn surveying basics.
• Flag for traffic control as needed.
