State of Indiana in Vincennes District is seeking a field technician to calibrate, operate, and evaluate data from survey systems. CDL license required to assist in district snow removal operations. The role emphasizes safety, data quality, and system calibration.

The position may involve equipment setup, data calculations, and occasional maintenance on laboratory systems, with a focus on accurate measurements and compliance with state specifications.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver license.
• Must possess a Class A or Class B CDL (or obtain within 90 days).
• Drug test is required before employment.
• Must lift 50 pounds.
• Able to read, write and communicate clearly.
• Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.
• Ability to read/interpret technical documents (AASHTO, ASTM, INDOT specs).
• Basic knowledge of material testing equipment

Responsibilities

• Calibrates, operates, and evaluates data from multiple specialized survey systems.
• Obtain CDL license to assist in District snow removal operations.
• Follows all related safety standards and conducts/participates in safety briefing.
• Performs research, preliminary data analysis and collects quality data on multiple specialized survey platforms.
• Performs and maintains calibration of survey systems to prescribed federal and state specifications.
• Performs maintenance, repair and system upgrades to laboratory systems as needed.
• Sets up and operates equipment to obtain survey data and performs calculations for determination of precise measurements.
