Job summary

The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) Crawfordsville District is seeking a land survey field technician. The role involves field data gathering alongside a partner, plus office duties in data processing and CAD/GIS use.

A degree is not required, and CDL is strongly preferred before or within the first 90 days. Typical duties include safety compliance, data analysis, and maintenance of test systems.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver license.
• Must possess a valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or obtain one with the first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Calibrates, operates, and evaluates data from multiple specialized test systems in Materials and Tests.
• Performs data analysis and collects quality data on testing systems.
• Maintains calibration of laboratory test systems to federal and state specifications.
• Assists Laboratory Manager in conducting multiple laboratory tests and data analysis.
• Assist with Facilities and B&G repair and maintenance.
