Job summary

The job offers a 4-day 10-hour schedule May–Sept and 5‑day 8-hour schedule Oct–Apr, with night/shift work and weekend hours during emergencies. A CDL with tanker endorsement and an N endorsement are required within 120 days.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver license and must obtain a valid CDL within 120 days of hire
• Night and shift work required, including weekends during emergencies and inclement weather
• Willingness to perform physically demanding work and operate heavy equipment

Responsibilities

• Perform roadway maintenance activities to keep highways safe and drivable
• Install and replace signs, permanent traffic control devices, and pavement markings
• Maintain and repair guardrail systems and department facilities
• Respond to emergencies and incidents, providing on‑the‑job training and direction
• Operate a variety of tools and equipment and promote safety
