Washington County is seeking a dedicated full-time Highway Laborer for the Slinger Shop in Slinger, WI. The role focuses on maintenance, construction and repair of highways, roads and bridges, with duties including snow removal, road patrolling and roadside vegetation control.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
• Valid Wisconsin driver’s license with a clean record for 3 years.
• CDL Class A with air brake and N endorsement, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 2–3 years of full-time work in road maintenance/repair with equipment experience.
• Ability to perform strenuous, heavy manual duties.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test.

Responsabilidades

• Operate equipment for snow removal and salting under icy conditions, including post-storm clean-up.
• Concrete and asphalt repairs to roads and bridge decks; paving and shoulder work; centerline painting.
• Operate variety of equipment (front end loader, salt spreader, dump truck, grader, air hammer, chainsaws).
• Patrol highways/roads, remove debris, inspect pavement and guardrails; may supervise a section of roadway.
• Mow grass/weeds, spray weeds, trim bushes/trees, clean culverts along roadsides; maintain right-of-way."
• Maintain records and reports on machine operation and labor distribution.
• Perform other duties; respond to emergencies.
