Washington County is seeking a full-time Highway Laborer in West Bend to maintain and repair highways, bridges, and roadside areas. This role requires a valid Wisconsin Class A CDL with air brake and N endorsement, plus 2–3 years of maintenance experience.

Typical duties include snow removal, mowing, grading and operating highway equipment. The position offers a starting hourly rate of $28.90 and a comprehensive benefits package, with multiple shifts available year-round.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Wisconsin driver’s license with clean record (3 years).
• Wisconsin Class A CDL with air brake and N endorsement, or ability to obtain within six months.
• 2–3 years of full-time road maintenance/repair experience preferred.
• Ability to perform strenuous manual work and pass pre-employment drug test.

Responsabilidades

• Operate equipment for snow removal and salting under icy conditions.
• Concrete and asphalt repairs to roads and bridge decks; paving and grading.
• Operate front end loader, salt spreader, dump truck, grader, chainsaws, etc.
• Patrol roads, remove debris, inspect pavement and markers; maintain rights of way.
• Mow grass, spray weeds, trim bushes, clean culverts; sweep bridges/intersections.
• Maintain records and assist with daily reports and workforce coordination.
• Respond to emergencies as assigned and perform other duties as needed.
