Job summary

Kokosing, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Project Superintendent to oversee heavy highway/roadway/bridge sites in a dynamic construction environment. You will supervise foremen, coordinate crews, manage safety programs, and collaborate with PMs to drive schedule adherence and profitability.

Ideal candidates bring Civil Engineering or Construction Management background and 6+ years of field leadership, with strong communication and organizational skills to lead diverse trades on large-scale projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent technical experience.
• 6+ years of field management experience on heavy highway/ roadway/ bridge projects.
• Roadway/Highway experience is preferred.
• Understand and interpret safety laws and company policies/standards.
• Apply effective management techniques to maximize employee performance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage several foremen to ensure work is safe, productive and of high quality.
• Set a Safety 24/7 culture for crews.
• Assist the Project Manager in creating the project schedule.
• Develop 90-day and 3-week schedules for crews.
• Conduct pre-planning and goal setting with crews.
• Oversee costs and manage items within scope.
• Coordinate manpower, heavy equipment, tooling and material needs for crews.
• Coordinate and schedule subcontractors.
