Job summary

Kokosing is seeking a Construction Superintendent in Ohio to supervise skilled trades on large Heavy Highway/bridge projects. You will work with the Operations Manager, Project Manager, and Project Engineers to drive safety, production and profitability on major contracts.

You will develop 90-day and 3-week schedules, coordinate crews, subcontractors, and resources, and ensure compliance with safety policies. Candidates should have a Civil/Construction background and extensive field experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent.
• 6+ years of field management experience.
• Roadway/Highway experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Foremen on safety, production, and quality.
• Set a Safety 24/7 culture for crews.
• Assist the Project Manager in creating the project schedule.
• Develop 90-day and 3-week schedules for crews.
• Conduct pre-planning and goal setting with crews.
• Oversee costs associated with work items.
• Coordinate manpower, heavy equipment, tooling and material needs for crews.
• Coordinate and schedule subcontractors.
