Job summary

AMT Engineering is hiring Transportation Construction Inspectors to support projects in West Virginia. You will ensure compliance with plans and specifications, while working mainly independently and as part of a team.

Applicants should possess a high school diploma and have at least 3 years of relevant experience. A valid driver’s license is required, and certification through WVDOH is preferred. This position may require nighttime shifts and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of highway construction related experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction methods and materials.
• WVDOH TRET II or higher certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify that all work performed is in accordance with plans and specifications.
• Measure and verify quantities, dimensions, and specifications.
• Act as a liaison between WVDOH and the prime contractor.
