Job summary

AMT Engineering is seeking Construction Inspectors in Virginia to support projects throughout the VDOT Staunton District. You will be involved in quality control for roadway and bridge construction while working within a supportive team environment.

Ideal candidates must have a High School diploma, a valid driver's license, and be fluent in English. Experience in highway construction and relevant VDOT certifications are preferred. Competitive benefits include tiered medical coverage and a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Available for nighttime shifts, OT, and weekends.
• Capable of working independently and within a team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and monitor construction work for quality control.
• Inspect excavations, drainage facilities, and road surfaces.
• Maintain project records including daily diaries and materials notebooks.

Skills

High School diploma or equivalent

Fluent in spoken and written English language

Highway construction knowledge

VDOT Road and Bridge Specifications knowledge

Nuclear Gauge Safety Training
