Job summary

Mead & Hunt is seeking an Experienced Construction Inspector to support WVDOH projects in North Central West Virginia. The role involves inspecting transportation construction, verifying materials, performing measurements, and documenting daily progress on site.

Travel throughout West Virginia is required with extended hours and potential overnight stays. A valid driver's license is essential, and candidates should hold required WVDOH certifications or equivalent qualifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related field AND four (4) years relevant experience
• An Associate's Degree in Construction Management or related field AND six (6) years of relevant experience
• If no degree, at least eight (8) years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Provide inspection services for transportation construction projects and ensure compliance with proposals, plans, and specifications.
• Perform required calculations, take measurements, verify weights and volumes as needed.
• Plot and run cross sections and prepare as-builts during progress of the project; perform materials testing.
