Job summary

Mead & Hunt has an exceptional opportunity for a highly motivated construction inspector for WVDOH projects in North Central West Virginia. The role focuses on providing inspection services for transportation construction projects and ensuring materials and work meet contract requirements.

The inspector will document daily inspections, perform measurements and calculations, and may perform materials testing. Travel across West Virginia is required; a valid driver’s license is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or related field and four years of relevant experience or
• Associate’s Degree in Construction Management or related field and six years of relevant experience or
• Eight years of relevant experience if no degree

Responsibilities

• Provide inspection services for transportation construction projects.
• Ensure work and materials comply with proposal, plans and specifications.
• Perform calculations, take measurements, and verify weights/volumes as needed.
• Plot and run cross sections and prepare as-built documents during progress of the project.
• Perform materials testing and document inspected work daily.
