Job summary

Mead & Hunt, Inc. seeks an Experienced Construction Inspector to support WVDOH projects across North Central West Virginia. The role ensures conformity with proposals, plans, and specifications on transportation construction sites.

The candidate will conduct field inspections, perform calculations and measurements, verify weights/volumes, plot cross sections, and prepare as-builds. Materials testing and daily documentation are required; travel statewide and occasional extended hours are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience performing field inspections on transportation construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide inspection services for WVDOH transportation projects, ensuring work and materials comply with plans and specs.
• Perform calculations, take measurements, and verify weights and volumes as needed.
• Plot cross sections and prepare as-builts during project progress.
• Conduct materials testing.
• Document inspected work daily.
