Job summary

U.S. Facilities, Inc. is seeking a Construction Inspector to oversee highway construction projects in Suffolk, Virginia.

You will coordinate, schedule, and inspect all phases to ensure work meets plans, specifications, and safety requirements while maintaining quality for the traveling public. Responsibilities include reviewing submittals, tracking costs and progress, maintaining project files, communicating with VDOT and contractors, and ensuring compliance with environmental and safety

Qualifications

• High School diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
• Ability to perform physically demanding field work and communicate effectively.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.

Responsibilities

• Inspect routine and complex highway projects to ensure quality and compliance.
• Review submittals, monitor schedule and costs, and maintain project files.
• Coordinate with VDOT, contractors, and public stakeholders; ensure safety and environmental guidelines are followed.
