Qualifications
- Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Survey Technology or related discipline with 3 years of technician experience.
- Ability to interpret contracts, plans, standards and specifications for highway construction.
- Experience inspecting, sampling or testing materials to ensure DOT specs.
Responsibilities
- Monitor contractor operations and review test reports for conformance with specs and plans.
- Perform contract administration duties including pay records, materials reports, and monthly estimates.
- Train and supervise lower-level technicians and inspectors.
- Communicate with contractors, utility owners and the public to minimize delays and issues.
