Qualifications

Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field with 3 years of technician experience or equivalent.
Ability to read and interpret contracts, plans, standards, and specifications for highway projects.
Experience inspecting, sampling and testing materials to ensure compliance with NCDOT specs.

Responsibilities

Lead inspection of highway construction in the Marion Resident Engineer's Office, Division 13.
Monitor contractor operations and review test reports for conformance to specs.
Perform contract administration duties (pay records, material reports, payroll).
Coordinate with engineers, contractors and inspectors to resolve issues and minimize delays.
