We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Highway/Civil Engineer to join our team in Newark, Delaware.

Responsibilities

• Produce highway and civil designs for new or rehabilitation roadway projects, bridge projects, or general site/civil improvements.
• Apply standards and analysis techniques from the manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, Highway Capacity Manual, AASHTO policies, etc.
• Complete work accurately following quality control and assurance procedures.
• Communicate and coordinate effectively with the design team. Manage, train, and mentor less experienced engineers in producing plans, specifications, and estimates.
• Handle project engineering responsibilities related to communication, schedule, budget, and progress of concurrent tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• PE License.
• Experience with MicroStation, Geopak, AutoCAD, and knowledge of CADD standards for MDSHA, DelDOT, DDOT & VDOT.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Five to eight years of design experience in the Mid-Atlantic Region, including:
• Roadway/highway design experience.
• Maintenance of traffic drawings and traffic control plans.
• Site/Civil experience including R.O.W., utilities, and drainage.
