Job summary

ASHFORD CONNEX, LLC seeks a Project Engineer for a major multiyear interstate widening project in the Savannah, GA area. You will handle submittals, RFIs, quantities and cost tracking, while supporting field operations on bridge and road work.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in heavy civil highway/bridge projects, a Civil Engineering or related degree, and are willing to relocate for a multiyear assignment. This role offers a clear path to Senior Project Engineer and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of project or field engineering on heavy civil highway, bridge or DOT projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Hands on with submittals, RFIs, quantities and cost tracking.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; Primavera P6 is a plus.
• Bridge experience a plus; DOT experience preferred.
• Based in Savannah area or willing to relocate for a multiyear project.

Responsibilities

• Run submittals and RFIs for your scope.
• Build quantity takeoffs, project logs and pay application backup.
• Track cost against budget and help with monthly cost reports.
• Help update the project schedule in Primavera P6.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and material deliveries.
• Work with DOT inspectors and design engineers on field issues.
• Read and interpret plans, specs, traffic control and environmental requirements.
• Spend real time in the field on bridge and roadway work.
• Support the Senior Project Engineer, Project Manager and Superintendent.
