Job summary

Henderson Group in Savannah, GA is seeking a Project Engineer for a major interstate widening program delivering bridge and highway work. You will manage submittals, RFIs, quantity takeoffs and cost tracking in the field, collaborating with design engineers and DOT inspectors to keep the project on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management.
• Minimum 2+ years in heavy civil highway/bridge or DOT projects.
• Proficiency with submittals, RFIs, quantities and cost tracking.
• Proficient in MS Office; Primavera P6 a plus.
• Bridge experience and DOT project exposure favored.

Responsibilities

• Run submittals and RFIs for your scope.
• Build quantity takeoffs, project logs and pay application backup.
• Track cost against budget and assist in monthly cost reports.
• Update project schedule in Primavera P6.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and material deliveries.
• Work with DOT inspectors and design engineers on field issues.
• Read and interpret plans, specs, traffic control and environmental requirements.
• Spend real time in the field on bridge and roadway work.
• Support the Senior Project Engineer, Project Manager and Superintendent.
