Job summary

Ashton North LLC in Savannah, GA is seeking a Project Engineer to support heavy civil highway and bridge construction on a multiyear interstate widening project. You will handle submittals, RFIs, takeoffs and cost tracking, with field oversight and coordination on DOT work.

Originally targeting engineers with 2+ years of heavy civil experience, the role offers growth toward Senior Project Engineer, relocation flexibility for the multiyear scope, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of project or field engineering on heavy civil highway, bridge or DOT projects
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field
• Hands on with submittals, RFIs, quantities and cost tracking
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; Primavera P6 is a plus
• Bridge experience is a plus
• SCDOT, GDOT or other state DOT experience is a plus
• EIT is a plus
• Based in the Savannah area or ready to relocate for a multiyear project

Responsibilities

• Run submittals and RFIs for your scope
• Build quantity takeoffs, project logs and pay application backup
• Track cost against budget and help with monthly cost reports
• Help update the project schedule in Primavera P6
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and material deliveries
• Work with DOT inspectors and design engineers on field issues
• Read and interpret plans, specs, traffic control and environmental requirements
• Spend real time in the field on bridge and roadway work
• Support the Senior Project Engineer, Project Manager and Superintendent
