Job summary

ASHFORD CONNEX, LLC in Savannah, GA is seeking a Senior Project Engineer for a major I-95 widening project. You will lead the engineering side of interstate and bridge work, coordinating with DOT inspectors, design engineers, and field teams.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of heavy civil highway/bridge project experience, a civil engineering-related degree, and proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Office. Relocation for a multiyear engagement is welcomed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project engineering experience on heavy civil highway, bridge or DOT projects
• Hands-on with submittals, RFIs, quantities, cost reports and change orders
• Working knowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office
• Bridge experience (structures) is a plus
• SCDOT/GDOT or other state DOT experience is a plus
• EIT or PE is a plus
• Based in the Savannah area or willing to relocate for a multiyear project

Responsibilities

• Run submittals and RFIs for your scope from start to closeout
• Build and maintain quantity takeoffs, project logs and pay applications
• Track cost against budget and prepare monthly cost reports and forecasts
• Build and update the project schedule in Primavera P6 with the field team
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and material deliveries
• Work with the owner, DOT inspectors and design engineers on change orders and field issues
• Read and interpret plans, specs, traffic control and environmental requirements
• Mentor the project and field engineers on the team
• Support the Project Manager and Superintendent with real time field input on bridge and roadway work
